Description

Comfort First is an approach to dementia care that uses the goal of comfort to guide the care plan and daily care for people living with dementia.

This training provides skills and new information to maximize the comfort and quality of life for persons with dementia.

Generously funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Audience

This training is for all clinicians and staff who provide dementia care in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes and assisted living, including:

  • Nursing aides
  • Nurses
  • Social workers
  • Activity staff
  • Advance practice providers
  • Physicians
  • Administrative staff
  • Family caregivers

Contents

  • 6 video modules, approx. 3 hours to complete total
  • Modules include additional resource files
